Social Studies - The Harlem Renaissance

This unit is crafted to deepen 5th-grade students' comprehension of the Harlem Renaissance era by integrating dance and crafts during their learning experience. Our aim is to foster a stronger connection to the period's social and emotional context, alongside its vibrant arts, dance, and music scene. Through engaging activities that include movement and music exploration, students collaboratively craft their own club, curate a set list for a show, and select artists and performers to animate this miniature production.
